Today is the 1st of three flights between India and Ukraine
Air India will start operating three flights on the India-Ukraine route on Tuesday, despite the ongoing tensions between Ukraine and Russia. The remaining two flights are on Thursday and Saturday.
Boryspil International Airport will be the departure point for the flights. Last week, bookings were opened through Air India offices, the website, the phone centre, and authorised travel agents.

In response to growing fears of a Russian invasion, the Indian Embassy in Ukraine has already asked its citizens, particularly students whose stay is not necessary, to leave Kyiv temporarily.
India has recommended that its nationals keep the Embassy updated of their position so that the Embassy can contact them if necessary, according to an advisory issued on Tuesday.
Tensions surrounding Ukraine have increased in recent months. Both Russia and NATO have accused each other of amassing soldiers on the Ukrainian border.
Russia has recognised two separatist regions as independent in the latest escalation, which is considered as a preparation to an invasion.
The UN Security Council (UNSC) is conducting an emergency meeting to discuss the situation. It will be a “open meeting,” according to officials, and India will also make a statement.
Russia will invade Ukraine “any day now,” according to the United States. Moscow, on the other hand, continues to deny the allegations and insists that it has no plans to strike any country. Australia also criticized the Russian presidency, calling their peacekeeping ambitions “nonsense.”
Tensions rose as approximately 150,000 Russian troops were observed just across the Ukraine border from the Donbas region in the east, Belarus in the north, and Crimea in the south. Experts believe that this will be one of the most significant setbacks to world peace since the end of the Cold War.
